24 squared by 2 squared can by simplified. If you where to simplify it it would become 12 squared. Its 12 squared because 2 goes into 24 12 times, but since it is squared you have to add the square or it will be wrong. After 12 it 6 and then its 3 squared. After three you can simplify it any further.
12^2 is indeed the right answer. I'm not sure about your last two sentences though. Can you tell me what you mean by this?
